LOCATION
The cottages at An Seann Sgoil are an easy walking distance from Bridgend and Islay House Square with their hotels, shops and community garden. Otherwise the reliable local bus service stops right outside the door and will take you to most places on Islay.
Walks in beautiful ancient woodland start right on the doorstep and the 20 minute stroll to tranquil Loch Skerrols is not to be missed.
Being located at the centre of the island, this is the perfect base from which to explore. There are 6 whisky distilleries within a 10-15 minutes’ drive, the ancient seat of the Lords of the Isles at Finlaggan and the RSPB site at Loch Gruinart are a similarly easy drive away as are some of the island’s amazing beaches.
